New Delhi Social media site Facebook has closed about 58.3 million fake accounts this year. In the first three months of this year, Facebook has taken action on these fake accounts. Facebook has closed these accounts after identifying on the basis of the content being served from the account. According to the social media site, these Facebook accounts were broadcasting violence, terrorism and religious hatred and hate content.

About 84 million posts were removed


Facebook has said that actions have been taken on those accounts which are against “community standards”. The company said that he has taken this step to prevent lakhs of fake accounts being created every day. Apart from this, 83.7 million posts were removed during this period. In the first quarter of this year, Facebook issued a warning on violent images, terrorism, or about 300 million posts spreading hatred.

Still, three to four per cent of the accounts have been filed


The company has also banned the 200-odd applications along with the closing of crores of Fake accounts. Facebook has taken a bigger picture on the fake account, despite this, still three to four per cent of the active accounts on the site are feudal.
